  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the air duct and air cleaner assembly. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")
  3. Remove the ETC module. (Refer to Fuel System - "ETC")
  4. Remove the intake manifold support (A).
  5. Disconnect the starter cable (A) from the solenoid B terminal, then disconnect the connector (B) from the S terminal.
  6. Remove the 2 starter mounting bolts (C), then remove the starter.
  7. Remove the 2 starter mounting bolts, then remove the starter (A).
