Description

The VESS (Virtual Engine Sound System) generates engine sound when the hybrid system starts. This sound is a safety measure that allows pedestrians to hear an approaching vehicle, since the vehicle has no engine noise in hybrid mode. The VESS operates at vehicle speeds of 0 to 20 km/h.
