Function
Function Description
Front Washer and Wiper
  • Condition: IGN2 ON,
  • Action: Front washer switch ON and OFF,
  • Response: Controls the wiper relay for 2.5~3.8 sec.
INTERMITTENT Front Wiper
  • Condition: IGN2 ON,
  • Action: Front wiper INT switch ON,
  • Response: Turns the wiper relay on/off with a period of 2.2~10 sec., depending on INT_Volume
Wiper
  • Condition: IGN2 ON, Action: Fog light ON,
  • Response: Controls the wiper relay while the fog light is ON
Rear Washer and Wiper
  • Condition: IGN2 ON,
  • Action: Rear washer switch ON and OFF,
  • Response: Controls the rear wiper relay while ON, controls the rear wiper relay for 2.5~3.8 sec. after switching OFF
Rear Wiper ON
  • Condition: IGN2 ON,
  • Action: Rear wiper ON,
  • Response: Controls the rear wiper relay until turned OFF
Rear Intermittent Wiper
  • Condition: IGN2 ON,
  • Action: Rear intermittent wiper ON,
  • Response: Controls the rear wiper relay with a 6 sec. period

  • IGN ON, belt unfastened,
  • Seat belt indicator stays ON until the belt is fastened.
  • IGN ON, belt fastened,
  • Unfastened belt indicator ON for 6 sec.
  • Ignition ON and vehicle speed > 9 km/h, belt unfastened,
  • Seat belt indicator flashes
  • Ignition ON and vehicle speed > 20 km/h, belt unfastened,
  • Unfastened belt indicator flashes and buzzer sounds
  • Ignition ON and vehicle speed > 20 km/h, belt fastened, belt is not released.
  • Unfastened belt indicator flashes and buzzer sounds
  • When vehicle speed > 20 km/h, belt OFF, seat belt indicator flashes and buzzer sounds; belt ON,
  • Unfastened belt indicator OFF and buzzer OFF
Rear Seat Belt Reminder
(Europe)
  • Ignition ON and rear seat belt unfastened.
  • Rear seat belt indicator ON
  • Generator ON, rear seat belt OFF
  • Rear seat belt indicator ON for 35 sec., then indicator OFF
  • Generator ON and rear seat belt OFF → 35 sec → Vehicle speed > 20 km/h
  • Rear seat belt indicator ON for 35 sec. again

Parking Brake Warning]
  • IGN1 ON and parking brake switch ON and vehicle speed > 5 km/h

Sunroof Warning
  • Ignition OFF, driver door open and sunroof open

Ice Warning
  • IGN2 ON and outside air temperature < 4 °C
  • Ice Warning
PAS Warning
  • The R gear position sensor and PAS sensors detect a warning,
  • PAS Warning: Activated according to the warning level from the PAS sensors
SMK Warning
  • SMK sends warning messages such as IDOUT WNG, ESCL Not Unlocked Warning, ESCL Unlock Warning, SSB Warning,
  • Buzzer Warning: Activated according to the warning message from SMK
Rear Heater / Front Defroster
  • IGN1 ON, generator ON and heater ON,
  • Heater and defroster ON for 20 min.
Power Window
  • IGN1 ON,
  • Power Window always ON
  • IGN1 OFF,
  • Power Window OFF 30 sec. after IGN1 OFF
  • Less than 30 sec. after IGN1 OFF and driver door open
  • Power windows disabled immediately
Tail Lamp Auto Off
  • Key ON and tail switch ON → Key OFF → Driver door open
  • Tail lamp OFF
  • Key and tail switch ON → Key OFF → Driver door open → Tail OFF → Tail switch ON

  • 2.5 sec. after night light condition is detected, tail lamp ON and headlamp ON

  • 5 sec. after daylight condition is detected, tail lamp OFF and headlamp OFF
Front Fog Lamp
  • Front fog lamp switch ON when IGN2 and tail lamps are ON.

Map lamp
  • Any door open,
  • Room lamp ON for 20 min.
  • All doors closed and key [ON → OFF] and any door unlocked,
  • Room lamp ON for 30 sec.
  • All doors closed and key [ON → OFF] and all doors locked,
  • Room lamp OFF
  • TX unlock,
  • Room lamp ON for 30 sec.
  • TX lock with room lamp ON,
  • Room lamp OFF
Headlamp
  • IGN2 ON and headlamp switch ON,
  • Headlamp ON
Escort
  • IGN2 ON, headlamp switch ON → IGN OFF,
  • Headlamp ON for 20 min.
  • IGN2 ON, headlamp switch ON → IGN OFF → Driver door open → Door closed,
  • Headlamp ON for 30 sec.
Static Bending Lamp
  • IGN2 ON, headlamp ON and vehicle speed <10 km/h and steering wheel angle > 100 degrees,
  • Static bending lamp lights according to clockwise rotation: Clockwise → Left static bending lamp ON, count clockwise → Right static bending lamp ON
  • IGN2 ON, headlamp ON and vehicle speed <10 km/h and gear position [R] and steering wheel angle > 100 degrees
  • Opposite side static bending lamp lights clockwise → Right static bending lamp ON, count clockwise → Left static bending lamp ON
  • Static bending lamps are controlled by a complex calculation between vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. Refer to the Headlamp system.
Headlamp Welcome
  • Headlamp switch ON, all doors closed, all doors locked and key OFF and TX unlock,
  • Headlamps and tail lamps ON for 15 sec.
  • Headlamp switch ON, all doors closed, all doors locked and key OFF and TX unlock → TX lock before the 15-second timer expires,
  • Headlamp OFF immediately after TX lock
  • Automatic lighting control, night light mode, all doors closed and all doors locked and key OFF and TX unlocked,
  • Headlamps and tail lamps ON for 15 sec.
EC unlock
  • Key OFF, any door open, central switch and lock switch ON,
  • Unlock all doors
  • Key OFF and any door open and TX lock,
  • Unlocking All Doors
Key Reminder
  • Key ON and driver/assist door open and central switch lock switch ON,
  • Unlock all doors. If the handle remains locked, BCM retries unlocking 3 times
  • Key ON and driver/assist door open and driver/assist handle change unlock → lock
  • Unlock all doors. If the handle remains locked, BCM retries unlocking 3 times
Passive Reminder
  • Passive reminder signal received from SMK
  • All doors unlock warning and buzzer starts
Crash unlock
  • Key ON and crash signal received,
  • Unlock all doors for 5 sec.
Speed Detection
Automatic Door Lock
  • IGN1 ON, generator ON, any door unlocked, vehicle speed > 15 km/h,
  • All door locks
  • IGN1 ON, generator ON, vehicle speed > 15 km/h, all doors locked → Unlock any door,
  • All door locks
Gear Shift Lever
Automatic Door Lock
  • IGN1 ON, generator ON, and gear shift lever in [R] position → not [R],
  • All door locks
Key OFF

  • Any door lock and key [In] → [Off]
  • Unlocking All Doors

Wake up navigation
  • Key Out & Tx Unlock/Passive Unlock received,
  • Send navigation wake-up signal
  • No resend within 1 min.
Tailgate Release
  • Activate unlock of all doors and tailgate opening,
  • Rear Door Release
  • Trunk passive signal received,
  • Rear Door Release
Anti-Theft
  • All doors closed, key OFF, Tx Lock and all doors closed,
  • Wait 30 sec.
  • Take after 30 sec. without interruption
  • [Armed State] Door opened without Tx unlock/passive unlock signal
  • Horn sounds, hazard lamp flashes
