Inspection

  1. The SJB can be diagnosed using the GDS. The SJB communicates with the GDS, which then displays the inputs and outputs along with the codes. It enables quick diagnosis of door lock/unlock malfunctions using the GDS. The GDS can forcibly operate the actuator, monitor input/output values and perform self-diagnosis.
  2. To diagnose the SJB function, select the vehicle model, BCM and SJB.
  3. Select "I/O Monitor" to check the current data of the power door lock system. It displays the input/output status of the DDM/ADM.
  4. To perform a functional check of the SJB outputs, select "Actuation Test".

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the airbag center lower panel. (Refer to Body - "Airbag Center Panel")
  3. Remove the center fascia switch assembly (A) after loosening the screws.

Installation

  1. Install the center facia switch assembly.
  2. Install the center lower airbag panel.
  3. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
