Inspection (with GDS)
- Check the BCM input/output specifications of the multifunction switch using GDS. If the specifications are not within the standard, replace the lamp or wiper switch.
- If diagnosis of the multifunction switch is required, select the model and "BCM".
- To view the BCM input/output current values, select "Current DATA". This provides information on the BCM power supply input/output conditions, turn signal/stop lamp, headlamp, door, locks, outside mirror, wiper, auto light, and transmitters, etc.

- To perform a forced operation on the BCM input factors, select "ACTUATION TEST".

- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the steering wheel. (Refer to Steering System - "Steering Wheel")
- Remove the lower/upper steering column shroud panel. (Refer to Body - "Steering Column Shroud Panel")
- Remove the clock spring. (Refer to Restraint System - Driver Airbag (DAB) and Clock Spring)
