Resetting the Driver Position Memory System
If resetting the driver position memory system does not work, initialize the system as follows.
How to initialize:
1. Stop the vehicle and open the driver's door. Set the engine start/stop button to the ON position, and shift the automatic transmission lever to P (Park).
2. Pull the driver's seat forward as far as possible, and hold the seatback upright as far as possible using the driver's seat forward/backward and seatback angle (reclining) control switches.
3. Press and hold the SET button and the driver's seat forward control switch at the same time for 2 seconds.
CAUTION
- If the alarm sounds and the driver's seat adjustment stops during initialization, restart the initialization.
- Before proceeding, make sure there are no obstacles around the driver's seat when initializing.
- After initialization is complete, adjust the seats to your ideal driving position and store your personal seat settings.
Initialization in progress:
1. Initialization starts when the alarm sounds.
2. The seat cushion and seatback will automatically move rearward. The alarm will continue to sound while the system is operating.
3. Initialization will be complete when the seat and seatback have moved to the center, with a raised beep sound. However, if one of the following events occurs, the initialization process will stop and the beep sound will also stop.
- When the driver's position memory system button is pressed
- When the driver's seat height adjustment switch is pressed
- When the shift lever is moved from P to another position
- When the vehicle speed exceeds 3 km/h
- When the driver's door is closed
