Removal and Installation

To remove the head restraint:

1. Tilt the seatback (2) using the recline lever or switch (1).
2. Raise the head restraint as far as it will go.
3. Press the head restraint lock button (3) while pulling the head restraint up (4).

WARNING - Headrest Removal

NEVER allow anyone to sit in a seat with the head restraint removed or installed upside down. Head restraints can provide critical neck and head support in a crash.

To reinstall the head restraint:

1. Insert the head restraint posts (2) into the guides while pressing the release button (1) or switch (1).

2. Tilt the seatback (4) using the recliner lever or switch (3).

3. Adjust the headrest to the appropriate height.

WARNING - Headrest Reinstallation

To reduce the risk of head or neck injury, always check that the headrest is locked in place and correctly adjusted after reinstallation.
