countries only: the red seat belt warning lamp stays on for 6 seconds after the engine is started.

 The seat belt warning lamp is intended to remind the driver and front passenger that they must fasten their seat belts.

An audible warning signal also sounds for up to 6 seconds.

 The driver has not fastened the seat belt.

engine is started, the red seat belt warning lamp lights up as soon as the driver's or front passenger's door is closed.
