When it is opened, the tailgate pivots upward and rearward. Therefore, make sure there is sufficient room to maneuver.

Do not place the key in the luggage compartment. You could lock yourself out.

You can

  • open and close the tailgate manually from the outside
  • unlock the tailgate from the inside with the emergency key
