If you can no longer open the tailgate from the outside, use the emergency release located on the inside of the tailgate.

  • Remove the emergency key from the key.

You will find the tailgate opening dimensions in the chapter "Technical data".

When it is opened, the tailgate pivots upward and rearward. Therefore, make sure there is sufficient room to maneuver.
  • Insert emergency key 2 into the opening of trim 1.
  • Turn emergency key 2 90° clockwise.
  • Push emergency key 2 in the direction of the arrow and open the tailgate.
