Lifting
Never lift the vehicle by placing the jack under the front suspension arms or under the rear axle.Using the vehicle jack
Lifting points are provided at the front and rear, on each side of the vehicle. They are marked by supports under the body, into which the vehicle jack locates.
Make sure to chock the wheel opposite the one to be lifted, using a wheel chock (supplied with the on-board tool kit). Then apply the parking brake and engage first gear or reverse, ignition off. For a vehicle with automatic transmission, set the selector to position 'P' (Park).
Using a workshop trolley jack
To lift the vehicle from the side, fit the jack with a wooden or rubber pad to avoid damaging the underbody, and use the lifting points provided for the vehicle jack.
To ensure vehicle stability, place axle stands under the lifting points intended for the vehicle jack.

USING A TWO-POST LIFT
If heavy components must be removed from the vehicle, preferably use a four-post lift. On a two-post lift, after removing such components (powertrain, rear axle, gearbox), there is a risk of the vehicle tipping over.Fit safety straps.
Support the vehicle on the 4 points intended for the vehicle jack.
