Wheels and tires
Driving recommendations
In this manual: Wheels and tires
~1min read
- If the vehicle is heavily loaded, check the tire pressure and correct it if necessary.
- While driving, pay attention to vibrations, noises and abnormal vehicle behavior, for example if the vehicle pulls to one side. This may indicate that the wheels or tires are damaged. If you are unsure about the condition of a tire, reduce your speed. Stop as soon as possible and check the condition of the wheels and tires. Hidden damage to the tires can also cause this abnormal handling. If no damage is visible, have the wheels and tires checked by a qualified workshop.
- Avoid pinching the tires when parking the vehicle. If you cannot avoid curbs, speed bumps or other edges, drive over these obstacles slowly and at an obtuse angle. Otherwise, you risk damaging the tires, particularly their sidewalls.
