Rear lamps

Saloon 5-door/Saloon 4-door

1. Detach the cover and remove it.

2. Unscrew the two plastic mounting nuts from the inside by hand.

3. Remove the rear light assembly.

Make sure the cable guide remains in place.

Disconnect the plug from the bulb socket.

4. Unscrew the screws and remove the bulb socket.

5. Push the bulb lightly into the socket, turn it counterclockwise, remove it and replace the bulb.

Rear light / brake light (1) Turn signal (2) Rear light (3) Reverse light / rear fog light, possibly on one side only (4)

Insert the bulb socket into the rear light assembly and screw it in place. Connect the plug.

Install the rear light assembly in the body and tighten the mounting nuts. Close the cover and snap it into place.

Switch on the ignition, operate and check all lights.

Sports Tourer

1. Release and open the cover in the tailgate.

2. Unscrew the three plastic mounting nuts by hand.

3. Remove the rear light assembly.

Make sure the cable guide remains in place.

Disconnect the plug from the bulb socket.

4. The rear lights consist of two bulbs. To change one of the bulbs, turn the plastic nut (1) counterclockwise and remove it from the bulb socket.

Push the bulb lightly into the socket, turn it counterclockwise, remove it and replace the bulb. Insert the plastic nut into the bulb socket and turn clockwise.

5. To change the other bulbs, unscrew the screws and remove the bulb holder.

   Push the bulb lightly into the socket, turn it counterclockwise, remove it and replace the bulb.

   Rear light (1) Turn signal (2) Brake light (3) Reverse light / rear fog light, possibly on one side only (4)

   Insert the bulb socket into the rear light assembly and screw it in place. Connect the plug.

   Install the rear light assembly in the tailgate and tighten the mounting nuts. Close the cover and snap it into place.

   Switch on the ignition, operate and check all lights.

Additional rear lights in the tailgate frame

1. Open the tailgate.

2. Release the cover in the side trim and remove it.

3. Pull the lamp housing out from the inside of the side trim.

   Turn the plastic nut counterclockwise and remove it from the bulb socket.

   Push the bulb lightly into the socket, turn it counterclockwise, remove it and replace the bulb. Insert the plastic nut into the bulb socket by turning clockwise.

   Insert the bulb socket into the tailgate frame. Close the cover in the side trim.
