Central locking

It locks and unlocks the doors, the tailgate and the fuel filler flap.

The door is unlocked by pulling the inside handle of the respective door.

Pull the handle again to open the door.

Note

In an accident with airbag deployment or seat belt pretensioner activation, the vehicle is automatically unlocked.

Unlatching

Press the button .

Two settings can be selected:

• To unlock only the driver's door, the tailgate and the fuel filler flap, press the button once. To
  unlock all doors, press the button twice

or

• press the button once
  to unlock all doors, the tailgate and the fuel filler flap.

The setting can be changed in the Settings menu of the information display.

Latching

Close the doors, the tailgate and the fuel filler flap.

Press the button .

If the driver's door is not properly closed, central locking will not work. Vehicle personalisation 116.

Unlocking and opening the tailgate

Press the buttonwhen
the ignition is off. The tailgate is unlocked and opened by touching the touch switch under the tailgate trim.

4-door saloon, Sports Tourer with power tailgate

With the ignition off, press the buttonuntil the tailgate
opens automatically. All other doors remain closed.

Central locking buttons

Locks or unlocks all doors, the tailgate and the fuel filler flap from inside the vehicle.

Press the buttonto

Malfunction in the remote control system

Unlatching

Unlock the driver's door manually by turning the key in the lock. Switch on the ignition and press the central locking buttonto unlock all
doors, the tailgate and the fuel filler flap.

The anti-theft system is deactivated by switching on the ignition.

Latching

Lock the driver's door manually by turning the key in the lock.

Central locking malfunction

Unlatching

Unlock the driver's door manually by turning the key in the lock. The other doors can be opened by pulling the inside handle twice. The tailgate and the fuel filler flap cannot be opened. To deactivate the anti-theft system, switch on the ignition 32.

Latching

Push in the child safety lock knob on all doors except the driver's door. Then close the driver's door and lock it from outside with the key. The fuel filler flap and the tailgate cannot be locked.
