Maintenance indicator

~2min read

It informs you when the next service is due, in accordance with the manufacturer's maintenance schedule.

Operation

As soon as the ignition is switched on, for 5 seconds, the spanner symbol lights up; the odometer display shows the number of kilometres (rounded down) remaining before the next service.

Example: with the ignition switched on for 5 seconds, the display shows that 900 km remain before the next service.

Indicateur d'entretien

After displaying a message about the engine oil level, the display shows the total and trip mileage.

If the service due date has passed, the mileage and the key flash for 5 seconds each time the ignition is switched on.

Example: when the ignition is switched on, the display shows for 5 seconds that the service due date has been exceeded by 300 km. Have your vehicle serviced as soon as possible.

Indicateur d'entretien

After the service and oil level messages have been displayed, the odometer returns to normal operation and the key stays lit.

The service interval is calculated from two parameters:

  • the total distance driven,
  • the time elapsed since the last service.

The remaining distance may be weighted by the time factor, depending on the driving habits of the user.

Resetting the service indicator

Your PEUGEOT dealer performs this operation after each service.

If you have carried out the service on your vehicle yourself, the reset procedure is as follows:

  • switch off the ignition,
  • press and hold the daily trip odometer reset button,
  • switch on the ignition.

The mileage display starts a countdown.

When the display shows "=0", release the button; the key disappears.

After this operation, if you want to disconnect the battery, lock the vehicle and wait at least five minutes, otherwise the reset will not be taken into account.
