Weights (in kg)

~2min read

The weights shown are those of a basic vehicle without options: they vary depending on the vehicle's equipment. Consult a Brand Representative.

Maximum Authorised Laden Weight (MMAC) Gross Train Weight (MTR) Van version Estate version All-terrain
Weights shown on the manufacturer's plate (refer to the “Identification plates” section in chapter 6)
Braked trailer weight * obtained by calculation: MTR - MMAC
Unbraked trailer weight * 600 684 696
Permitted load on towing ball * 75
Permitted load on roof 100 (including roof rack system)

* Towable load (towing a caravan, boat, etc.)

Towing is prohibited when the MTR-MMAC calculation equals zero, or when the MTR is equal to zero (or is not stated) on the manufacturer's plate.

  • It is important to comply with the towing conditions permitted by local legislation and, in particular, those defined by the Highway Code. For any towbar fitting, contact your Brand Representative.
  • When towing, the total train weight (vehicle + trailer) must never be exceeded. However, the following is tolerated:
  • rear GAW exceeded by up to 15%,
  • GVW exceeded by up to 10% or 100 kg (whichever limit is reached first).

In both cases, the maximum speed of the combination must not exceed 80 km/h or 100 km/h, and the tyre pressures must be increased by 0.2 bar (3 PSI).

  • Engine output and hill-climbing ability decrease with altitude, so we recommend reducing the maximum load by 10% at 1,000 metres, then by a further 10% for each additional 1,000 metres.

Load transfer for Estate and All-terrain versions, medium wheelbase

Depending on local legislation, when the vehicle's GVW is not reached, up to 300 kg can be transferred to the braked trailer, within the vehicle's GTW.
