Removing the vertical aim actuator requires removing the headlamp unit.

Note: For xenon headlamps, see the Xenon Bulbs section.

REMOVAL

  • Remove the headlamp.

  • Turn the motor one-eighth of a turn outward to release it from the headlamp.

CAUTION: Spread the tab (2) slightly to avoid breaking it.

  • Disconnect the ball joint from the reflector by tilting the actuator slightly.

Note: To make disconnection easier, loosen the screw (1) by a few turns.

INSTALLATION

Hold the reflector toward the rear of the headlamp while pulling on the bulb base.

Snap the ball joint into the headlamp clip.

Position the motor on the headlamp.

Turn the motor one-eighth of a turn to engage it in the headlamp.

Reconnect the connector.

Refit the sealing cover.

  • Adjust the headlamps.
