I - AUTOMATIC LIGHT ACTIVATION WITH VEHICLE STATIONARY (EXTERIOR WELCOME LIGHTING)

Depending on the version, the vehicles may be fitted with automatic activation of the dipped headlamps (engine off) to light the front of the vehicle.

This function is only possible with the ignition off, and operates in timed periods of 30 seconds (maximum 2 minutes).

Activation

Activation is carried out using the lighting stalk:

  • switch off the ignition,
  • operate the main beam twice using the stalk,
  • the instrument panel emits an audible signal,
  • the dipped headlamps are powered for 30 seconds.
Note: Each time the headlamp flasher is operated with the stalk, a 30-second delay is added (maximum 2 minutes).

Switching on the sidelights or turning the ignition on stops the function.

II - AUTOMATIC LIGHT ACTIVATION WHILE DRIVING

The function is activated or deactivated using the lighting stalk, provided the cabin control unit is correctly configured (Cabin Interconnection Box chapter):

  • engine off,
  • press and hold the " Auto " button on the lighting stalk,
  • if the function changes state, the instrument panel emits an audible signal.
Note: For specific instructions on replacing the light sensor, refer to (Wipers / Washer chapter).

The system operates in automatic mode.

Repeat the same operation to return to manual mode.
