I - COOLING CIRCUIT LEAK TEST

Contrôle
  • Replace the expansion tank valve with the spare cap (Ms. 554-01).
  • Connect the cooling circuit tester (Ms. 554-07) to the spare cap (Ms. 554-01).
  • Pump with tool (Ms. 554-07) to pressurise the circuit.
Note:
  • The pressure to obtain is 0.1 bar lower than the valve opening pressure.
  • The pressure must not drop; otherwise, look for the leak.

II - VALVE TEST

WARNING

Replace the expansion tank valve without fail if coolant leaks past the valve.

  • Fit the spare cap (Ms. 554-06) to the tester (Ms. 554-07).
  • Screw the expansion tank valve onto the spare cap (Ms. 554-06).
  • Pump with tool (Ms. 554-07).
Note:
  • The pressure to obtain is 1.4 bar +/- 0.1, the valve opening pressure.
  • The pressure must not drop; otherwise replace the valve.
  • Stabilise the pressure at the valve opening pressure, with a test tolerance of +/- 0.1 bar.
