DESCRIPTION

The millimeter wave radar sensor assembly receives accelerator pedal position sensor signals from the ECM to determine if the accelerator pedal is being depressed. If the ECM detects a malfunction in the accelerator pedal position sensor or SFI system, the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is notified via CAN communication and stores DTC C1A63.

With the ignition switch ON, the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly receives an accelerator pedal position sensor malfunction signal from the ECM for approximately 2 seconds or more.

  1. GO TO SFI SYSTEM

If DTC C1A63 is output by the pre-collision system, perform troubleshooting for the SFI system.
