Wiring diagram symbols
PROCEDURE
Wiring diagram symbols
Internal connections (thin lines) – these connections are not wires, but current flows through them. They make it possible to trace the current paths inside the electrical equipment. Terminal 15 – when the ignition is switched on, battery voltage is present at this terminal. The relay position number indicates the number of the relay in the relay and fuse box. The component designation allows the name of the component represented by the graphic symbol to be found in the list; in this case, the fuel injection control unit. The wire color corresponds to the wire color in the vehicle, in this case brown. Numbers in circles indicate the installation location or the location of the ground connection. The current path number makes it easier to find components in the diagram. The letter-number designation identifies a connector. In this case it is T8a/7. T8 indicates an 8-pin connector, and 7 indicates pin 7. Numbers in squares indicate a circuit break and give the number of the current path where the circuit continues. Graphic symbol, in this case a fuse. The letter-number designation at connection points identifies the position of the wires in the connectors. For example, M30az designates pin 30az of connector M. Designation of terminals on relays, control units and on the relay board or auxiliary panel, for example: 38/30 – on the relay panel. Letter designations of components in wiring diagrams: A – Battery; B – Starter; C – Generator; D – Ignition switch; E – Manually operated switch; F – Mechanical switch; G – Sensor, monitoring device; H – Horn; J – Relay, control unit; K, L, M, W, X – Warning lamp, illumination lamp, light; N – Solenoid valve, resistor, connector; O – Ignition distributor; P, Q – Spark plug connector, spark plug; R – Radio; S – Fuse; T – Connector; V – Electric motor.
