Note Removal and installation are only described for the left door retaining strap. The right side is similar.

Removing

Removing and installing door arrester
  • Remove rear door trim → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.70.
  • Pull off self-adhesive cover.
For models without loudspeaker pull off self-adhesive cover and remove door retaining strap through opening for loudspeaker -arrow c-.
For models with loudspeaker detach inner door cover → Chapter and remove through this opening.
  • Unscrew bolt -2- on B-pillar.
  • Remove screws -3- and remove door retaining strap -1-.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
