The rear door can be unlocked from the inside using the button on the instrument panel.

Volvo XC90. Unlocking the tailgate from inside the vehicle
  • Press the Volvo XC90. Unlocking the tailgate from inside the vehicle button on the dashboard.
    • The tailgate will unlock and can be opened from the outside by pressing the rubberized button on the handle.

With optional power tailgate*:

  • Press and hold the Volvo XC90. Unlocking the tailgate from inside the vehicle button on the dashboard.
    • The rear door will open.
