Cleaning Seat Belts

Seat belts must always be kept clean! A heavily soiled belt does not retract properly. Clean them in a mild soap solution, directly in the vehicle, without removing them.

Dry cleaning of seat belts is prohibited, as it may damage the belt fibers.

Also protect them from contact with alkaline solutions. Belts must be retracted only when dry.
