Maintenance and Care

General Information

~2min read

The vehicle is equipped with modern, reliable equipment that does not require special maintenance.

The scope of scheduled maintenance is small, but it is necessary to keep the vehicle constantly ready for safe and economical operation.

The high quality of assembly and components eliminates the need for additional maintenance immediately after break-in. Only on vehicles with diesel engines is it recommended to retighten the cylinder head nuts after the first 1,000 km. Inspection and servicing are required every year or every 30,000 km, whichever comes first. Oil changes are performed every 15,000 km on vehicles with carburetor engines and every 7,500 km on diesel vehicles. The service booklet specifies, among other things, the scope of required maintenance work at each inspection, including oil changes.

If the vehicle is operated under severe conditions, for example at extremely low air temperatures, on dusty roads, etc., it is advisable to perform some work at intermediate intervals. This applies primarily to: - engine oil changes - cleaning and replacement of air filters - draining (dewatering) or replacement of the diesel fuel filter

It is best to have this done at a service station, as it often requires special knowledge, tools and equipment.

At the same time, this work may also be performed independently, following our recommendations and instructions.

When draining used oil, brake fluid and coolant, disposing of batteries, replacing worn tires, etc., the requirements of environmental protection laws must be observed.

Completion of confirmed inspections at a service station is taken into account when submitting any warranty claims to the manufacturer within 1 year of vehicle operation.

Certain specific engine and chassis work related to safety should only be performed at service stations.

In addition, independent and often incorrect adjustment of the ignition or fuel injection system may cause increased fuel consumption and exceed permissible exhaust emission limits.

The risk of injury comes primarily from rotating components and mechanisms (V-belt drive, radiator electric fan, etc.), from electrical equipment (short circuit, high voltage of the ignition coil), from hot surfaces, and from high pressure in the cooling system.
