Active front head restraints

In a rear-end collision, this head restraint moves toward the head.

Do not cover active head restraints with covers that could interfere with their normal operation. Otherwise, in a rear-end collision, the active head restraints may not be able to provide their full protective effect.

After the active head restraints have deployed, have them returned to their original position at a service center. Have this work performed only by a BMW service center.◄

If the front head restraints need to be removed or installed, contact a BMW service center.◄
