Front passenger airbag on/off switch

The front and side passenger airbags can be deactivated and reactivated using a special on/off switch. It is located on the end of the instrument panel on the passenger side.

These airbags can only be deactivated or reactivated with the vehicle stationary and the front passenger door open.

Switching Off

Turn the on/off switch to the OFF position.

When the switch is in this position, the front passenger airbags are deactivated. The driver's airbags remain operational.

When the child safety system is removed, reactivate the front passenger airbags so they are operational in the event of an accident.◄

Switching On

Turn the on/off switch to the ON position.

The front passenger airbags are operational again.

Front passenger airbag status indicator

The location of the switches and indicator lamps depends on the vehicle equipment.

► When the front passenger airbags are deactivated, the indicator lamp stays on continuously.

► When the front passenger airbags are activated (operational), the indicator lamp is off.
