Snow Chains

BMW has tested, approved and recommended only certain chain-type snow chains for use. Information about them is available from a BMW service center.

Snow chains may be used only on both rear wheels at the same time, with tires of size 255/50 R 19.

When installing chains, observe the instructions of the chain manufacturer. With snow chains fitted, the maximum permitted driving speed is 50 km/h.

After installing snow chains, do not reset the tire pressure loss warning indicator, otherwise it may give a false alarm.

When driving with snow chains, it may be advisable to switch the DTC system on for a certain time.◄
