Remote Control

The remote control allows you to switch on and off:

► independent ventilation system (when outside air temperature is above +15 °C);

► independent heating system (when outside air temperature is below +15 °C).

The remote control has an average range of approximately 150 m.

Maximum range is achieved when the remote control is held vertically or horizontally. When switching the systems on and off, do not touch the antenna of the remote control or point it at the vehicle.

Remote control of the independent systems is only possible if they were not switched on by the timer or directly.◄

Frequency Coincidence

Remote control may be disrupted by systems and devices operating on the same frequency.

Operation

1 On
2 Off
3 Standby
4 LED: lights up for 7 seconds after the system is put into standby
5 LED: flashes when switched on
6 Antenna

Switching On

1. Press and hold button 3 until LED 4 lights up.
2. Within the following 7 seconds, press button 1.

LED 5 flashes rapidly for 2 seconds, confirming the switch-on command.

A single flash of the interior light confirms that the independent heating or ventilation system has been switched on using the remote control.◄

Switching Off

1. Press and hold button 3 until LED 4 lights up.
2. Within the following 7 seconds, press button 2.

LED 5 flashes rapidly for 2 seconds, confirming the switch-off command.

Replacing the battery

If the LED does not light up when switching on the independent ventilation/heating system, replace the battery in the remote control.

1. Press the latch, see arrow 1.

2. Remove the battery compartment cover, see arrow 2.
3. Install a new battery of the same type. The correct battery position is shown on the bottom of the compartment.
4. Close the cover.

Dispose of the used battery at a collection point or at a BMW service center.◄

New Remote Control

A new or additional remote control can be ordered and initialized at a BMW service center.

You can have two remote controls per vehicle.
