Central locking

The central locking can be activated and deactivated from the driver's door. This system locks and unlocks all doors and the tailgate (or trunk lid) from the driver's door, using the remote control transmitter (from outside) or the central locking button (from inside). The fuel filler flap can be locked together with all doors and the tailgate (or trunk lid).

The central locking can be operated with the key (from outside) or with the lock switch on the driver's door (from inside).

If the driver's door is not closed properly, the central locking will not operate. This can be changed in the vehicle settings.

To lock, press the button.

To unlock, press the button.

When the driver's door is open, the driver's door lock and the fuel filler flap cannot be locked.

Pressing it unlocks all doors. The hazard warning lights flash twice.

Unlocking only the driver's door or changing the way the unlock is signaled can be changed in the vehicle settings.

Trunk Lid Unlock (Sedan Only)

Press the button.

The trunk lid unlocks and opens, while the doors remain locked.

Double Lock

For additional security, you can turn on the Double Lock feature.

Double Lock electronically locks all power door locks, so no door can be opened from the inside, even if someone breaks a window and gets into the vehicle.

Warning Do not use full locking when people are in the vehicle. The doors cannot then be opened from the inside.

To turn on Double Lock, press thebutton on the remote transmitter
twice within 5 seconds.

To turn off Double Lock, press thebutton on the remote transmitter.

Note Double Lock works only when all doors, the liftgate (or trunk lid), and the fuel filler door are closed.

Double Lock is turned off when the doors are unlocked normally.

Delayed Locking

This feature delays the actual locking of the doors and arming of the security alarm for five seconds when the power lock button or the remote transmitter is used to lock the vehicle.

This can be changed in the vehicle settings.

ON: When the central lock button is pressed, three warning signals sound to indicate that Delayed Locking is on.

The doors stay unlocked for five seconds after the last door is closed. Delayed Locking can be temporarily deactivated by pressing the central lock button or the lock button on the remote transmitter.

OFF: The doors lock immediately when the power lock button or thebutton on the remote
transmitter is pressed.
