RFID technology is used in some vehicles for functions such as tire pressure monitoring and ignition immobilizer protection. It is also used for convenience features such as remote keyless entry and start, and the vehicle's built-in garage door opener transmitters. RFID technology in Chevrolet vehicles does not use or record personal information, nor is it linked to any other Chevrolet system that contains personal information.
