Vehicle Data Recording and Privacy
The vehicle is equipped with a number of electronic systems that record data on vehicle operation and how the vehicle is driven. For example, the vehicle uses electronic modules that monitor and control engine and transmission operation, monitor airbag deployment conditions and deploy the airbags in a crash, and prevent wheel lock during braking (if equipped) to help the driver maintain control of the vehicle. These modules may store data that is later used by dealer technicians when servicing the vehicle. Some modules may also record data on how the vehicle is driven, such as fuel consumption or average vehicle speed. These modules may also store the driver's personal preferences, such as radio settings, seat positions and temperature settings.
