Folding the Rear Seatbacks

The rear seatback consists of two sections. Each section can be folded independently of the other.

Press the release button and fold the head restraints.

Fold the rear armrest up.

Pull the release lever on one or both sides and fold the seatbacks down onto the seat cushion.

Before folding the seatbacks, route the seat belts out of the outer seatbacks by tucking them into the guides.

To raise the seatbacks again, pull them up and remove the seat belts from the guides.

Position the seatbacks as required by pressing the top of the seatback until it clicks into place.

Pull the seatbacks forward again to make sure they are securely latched.

If the seatbacks are locked in the upright position, the red indicators on both sides next to the release levers should not be visible.

Insert the seat belts into their respective slots if they did not retract automatically.

Never fold a seatback when the center rear seat belt is buckled or removed.
