Chevrolet Cruze. Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Coil Replacement

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Remove the steering column upper trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Upper Trim Cover Replacement.
  2. Remove the steering column lower trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement.
  3. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement.

Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Coil Screw Bolt (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten 15 N·m

Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Coil Assembly

Procedure

Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.

Tip

  • Do not remove the centering tab from a new steering wheel inflatable restraint module coil until it has been installed or re-centering will be required.
  • If re-centering of the steering wheel inflatable restraint module coil is needed then refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Centering.
