If the cooling system is cold, the coolant level should be above the filling mark. If the level is low, add coolant.

Before removing the expansion tank cap, allow the engine to cool. Carefully turn the cap, releasing the pressure gradually.

Add a mixture of distilled water and antifreeze approved for this vehicle model. Tighten the cap securely. Check the antifreeze concentration and have the cause of its loss corrected at a service station.
