Lift the bonnet, hold it, and secure it with strut 4.

Closing the bonnet

Before closing the bonnet, check that no objects have been left in the engine compartment.

To close the bonnet, grasp it at the centre of its front edge, lower it to about 30 cm above the front panel and release it. The lock engages automatically under the weight of the bonnet.

Do not lean on the bonnet: risk of it closing accidentally. When working under the bonnet, make sure the wiper arm is in the parked position. Risk of injury. Check that the bonnet is correctly locked. Make sure nothing obstructs the lock mechanism (gravel, rag, etc.). After any work in the engine compartment, make sure no objects (cloth, tools, etc.) have been left in it. They could damage the engine or cause a fire. If the radiator grille or bonnet is hit, even lightly, have the bonnet lock checked as soon as possible by an Approved Dacia Dealer.
