Your vehicle may be connected and may be equipped with both wired and wireless networks. These networks allow your vehicle to send and receive information. This information allows your vehicle's systems and functions to operate properly.

Your vehicle may be equipped with certain security features to reduce the risk of unauthorized and unlawful access to vehicle systems and wireless communications. Vehicle software technology continues to evolve over time, and FCA US LLC, working with its suppliers, evaluates and takes appropriate action as necessary. Similar to a computer or other electronic devices, your vehicle may require a software update to improve the ease of use and performance of your systems or to reduce the potential risk of unauthorized and unlawful access to your vehicle's systems.

The risk of unauthorized and unlawful access to your vehicle's systems may still exist even when the latest vehicle software version (for example, Uconnect software) is installed.

• It is not possible to know or predict all possible outcomes if your vehicle's systems are compromised. Vehicle systems, including safety-related systems, may be disrupted, or loss of vehicle control may occur, resulting in an accident with serious injury or death.
• Insert media (for example, USB or CD) into your vehicle ONLY if it is from a trusted source. Media of unknown origin may contain malicious software, and if installed in your vehicle, may increase the likelihood that vehicle systems can be compromised.
• As always, if you experience unusual vehicle behavior, take your vehicle to the nearest authorized dealer immediately.

• FCA US LLC or an authorized dealer may contact you directly regarding a software update.
• To further enhance vehicle security and minimize the risk of a security breach, vehicle owners should:
  • Regularly check www.driveuconnect.com (for U.S. residents) or www.driveuconnect.ca (for Canadian residents) for available Uconnect software updates.
  • Connect and use only trusted multimedia devices (for example, personal mobile phones, USB, CDs).
