  1. Perform the following steps to arm the vehicle security alarm:
  2. Make sure the ignition is in the OFF position.
  3. Perform one of the following to lock the vehicle:
    • Press the power door lock switch inside the vehicle while the driver and/or passenger door is open.
    • Press the lock button on the outside door handle of the Passive Entry door with a valid key fob within the same exterior zone.
    • Press the lock button on the key fob.
  4. If any doors are open, close them.
