Snow chains

Warnings

The use of snow chains is subject to the regulations in force in each country. In some countries, tyres marked M+S (Mud and Snow) are considered winter equipment; their use is therefore treated the same as the use of snow chains.

Snow chains must only be fitted to the front wheel tyres.

Check the tension of the snow chains after driving a few tens of metres.

Using snow chains with tyres of non-original sizes may damage the vehicle.

Using tyres of different sizes or types (M+S, etc.) on the front and rear axles may compromise the vehicle's handling, with the risk of loss of control and accidents.

Snow chains cannot be fitted to the temporary spare wheel (for versions/markets where provided). If a front tyre is punctured, position the temporary spare wheel in place of a rear wheel and move that rear wheel to the front axle. In this way, with two normal-size wheels at the front, snow chains can be fitted.
