End-of-life vehicle regulations
For many years, the FCA group has been developing a global commitment to environmental protection and respect through continuous improvement of its production processes and the creation of increasingly environmentally friendly products. To provide its customers with the best possible service, in line with environmental principles and in response to the obligations arising from European Directive 2000/53/EC on end-of-life vehicles, FCA offers its customers the option of scrapping their vehicle at the end of its service life at no additional cost. The European Directive stipulates that vehicles must be taken back in such a way that the last holder or owner does not bear any costs due to a zero or negative market value.
To scrap your end-of-life vehicle at no additional charge, you may contact either our dealers when purchasing another vehicle, or any dismantling facility authorised by FCA. These facilities have been carefully selected so that the services they provide meet the quality standards for the collection, treatment and recycling of vehicles, in an environmentally responsible manner.
Information on dismantling and collection facilities is available from the FCA dealer network, from the helpline number given in the Warranty Book, or on the websites of the various FCA group brands.
