General Procedures - Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) Manual Release

Activation

1. 1
   Chock the wheels and tires.

   Disconnect the parking brake drive motor electrical connector and, if equipped, remove the wiring retainer.

   Remove the bolts and rotate the parking brake drive motor to remove it.

   Rotate the spindle/nut drive shaft clockwise 360 degrees.

   

5. 5
   Repeat steps 2-4 on the opposite side of the vehicle.

   Install the parking brake drive motors.
