Removal

  1. Remove the air cleaner inlet tube.
    Refer to: Air Cleaner Inlet Tube (303-12C Intake Air Distribution and Filtration, Removal and Installation).
    Refer to: Air Cleaner Inlet Tube (303-12A Intake Air Distribution and Filtration - 1.5 L EcoBoost (180 L kW/hp) - I3 (Y1), Removal and Installation).

  2. Remove the hood latch.
    1. If equipped.
      Disconnect the hood ajar switch.
    1. Remove the bolts from the hood latch.
      Torque: 93 lb-in (10.5 N·m)
    1. Disconnect the hood release cable from the mounting bracket.
    1. Disconnect the hood latch release cable end and remove the hood latch.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
