Interior trim removal tool

Removal

  1. Remove the liftgate trim panel.
    Refer to: Liftgate Trim Panel (501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation, Removal and Installation).
  2. Disconnect the liftgate release switch electrical connector.
  3. Remove the liftgate release handle bolts.
    Torque: 13 lb-in (1.5 N·m)
  4. Release the retaining tabs and remove the liftgate release handle.
    Use the common service equipment: trim panel removal tool.

  5. Remove the liftgate release switch.
    1. Release the liftgate release switch retainers.
    1. Remove the liftgate release switch.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
