Hose Clamp Removal/Installation Tool

Removal

1. 1
   Drain the cooling system.
   Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding (303-03C Engine Cooling – General Procedures).

   Disconnect the wiring harness clip.

   

3. 3
   Loosen the clamps and disconnect the coolant hoses.
   Use the common equipment: hose clamp removal and installation tool.

   

4. 4
   Remove the stud and the thermostat housing.
   Torque: 35 lb-ft (48 N·m)

   

Installation

1. 1
   To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. 2
   Fill and bleed the cooling system.
   Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Air Bleeding (303-03C Engine Cooling - General Procedures).
