We will repair or replace any genuine Ford accessory properly installed by an authorized dealer that is found to be defective in factory materials or workmanship during the warranty period, as well as any component damaged by defective accessories.

We warrant your genuine Ford accessory under the warranty that provides the greatest benefit:

  • 24 months, unlimited mileage.
  • The remaining portion of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Contact an authorized dealer for detailed information and a copy of the warranty.

* Ford Licensed Accessories. The accessory manufacturer designs, develops and therefore warrants Ford Licensed Accessories, and does not design, develop or test these accessories to Ford Motor Company specifications. Contact an authorized Ford dealer to obtain information on the manufacturer's limited warranty and to request a copy of the Ford Licensed Accessories limited warranty from the accessory manufacturer.

To achieve maximum vehicle performance, observe the following information when adding accessories or equipment to your vehicle:

  • When adding accessories, equipment, passengers and cargo to your vehicle, do not exceed the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or the Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR, front or rear), as shown on the Certification label. Refer to an authorized dealer for specific weight information.
  • The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) regulate the use of mobile communication systems that are equipped with radio transmitters, such as two-way radios, telephones and theft alarm systems. Any such equipment installed in your vehicle must comply with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) regulations and must be installed only by an authorized dealer.
  • Mobile communication systems must be installed by an authorized dealer. Improper installation may damage the operation of your vehicle, especially if the manufacturer did not design the mobile communication system specifically for use in vehicles.
  • If you or an authorized Ford dealer add any electrical or electronic accessories or components to your vehicle, you may negatively affect battery performance and durability. In addition, you may also negatively affect the performance of other electrical systems in the vehicle.
