Up to 1000+ covered vehicle components

There are four Ford Protect Extended Service Plans for powertrain and mechanical components with different levels of coverage. For details, refer to an authorized dealer.

  1. PremiumCARE is our most comprehensive coverage. With more than 1,000 covered components, this plan is so complete that it is probably easier to list what is not covered.
  2. ExtraCARE covers 113 components and includes many high-tech items.
  3. BaseCARE - Covers 84 components.
  4. PowertrainCARE covers 29 critical components.

Ford Protect Extended Service Plans are honored by all authorized Ford dealers in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

Rental Vehicle Reimbursement

1st Day Rental Benefit

If you bring your vehicle to the dealer for service, we will provide you with a credit for use during the day.

Extended Rental Benefits

If your vehicle is kept overnight for a covered repair, you are entitled to rental car coverage, including warranty repair and roadside service actions.

Roadside Assistance

Exclusive 24-hour roadside assistance, including:

  • Towing, flat tire changing and battery jump starts.
  • Out of fuel and lockout assistance.
  • Reimbursement of travel expenses for lodging, meals and rental car.
  • Assistance with taxi, transfer, car rental or other transportation.

Transferable Coverage

If you sell your vehicle before your Ford Protect Extended Service Plan expires, you can transfer any remaining coverage to the new owner. This provides you and your prospective buyer with added peace of mind.

The Ford Protect Extended Service Plan also offers the Premium Service Plan, which covers all scheduled maintenance and selected wear items. The coverage is prepaid, so you never have to worry about the cost of servicing your vehicle.

  • Wiper blades.
  • Spark plugs.
  • Clutch disc (if equipped).
  • Brake pads and linings.
  • Shock absorbers.
  • Struts.

  • Replace the cabin air filter every 20,000 miles (32,000 km) (electrified vehicles only).

The Ford Protect Extended Service Plan is the only service contract backed by Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited. Depending on the plan you choose, the Ford Protect Extended Service Plan provides the following benefits:

  • Protection against repair costs after the New Vehicle Limited Warranty coverage period expires.
