Interior trim removal tool

Removal

Vehicles with manual transmission

  1. Remove the gear shift boot.
    Refer to: Gear Shift Boot (308-06 External Controls - 5-Speed Manual Transmission Transmission - B5/IB5/6-Speed Manual Transmission - B6, Removal and Installation).

Vehicles with automatic transmission

  1. Remove the selector lever trim panel.
    Use the general equipment: interior trim remover.
  2. Release the clips and remove the lower instrument panel trim panel. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
    Use the general equipment: interior trim remover.

All vehicles

  1. Both sides.
    1. Remove the screw.
    1. Release the clips and remove the floor console side trim panel.

If equipped

  1. Release the clips and remove the floor console upper trim panel. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Console without armrest

  1. Remove the screws and the floor console. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
    Torque: 22 lb-in (2.5 N·m)

Console with armrest

  1. Remove the screws, bolts, disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the floor console.
    Torque: 22 lb-in (2.5 N·m)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
