Adjustment

  1. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting – Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).
  2. Remove the battery tray.
    Refer to: Battery Tray — 1.6 L EcoBoost (132 kW/180 L PS) — Sigma (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).
    Refer to: Battery Tray — 1.6 L Duratec-16V Ti-VCT (88 kW/120 L PS) — Sigma (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).
  3. Set the degas bottle aside.
  4. Loosen, but do not remove, the engine mount bolts.
  5. Remove the nut and set the wire aside.
  6. Remove the nuts and set the battery tray bracket aside.
  7. Loosen, but do not remove, the transmission mount nuts.
  8. Loosen, but do not remove, the 2 roll restrictor bolts. Make sure the roll restrictor is loosened.
  9. Install the battery tray bracket and nuts.
    Torque: 18 lb-ft (25 N·m)
  10. Install the battery tray.

  11. Install the battery.
    Refer to: Battery (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).
  12. Start the vehicle and move it forward 0.6 m (1.97 ft) - 1.2 m (3.94 ft).
  13. Move the vehicle in reverse the same distance, 0.6 m (1.97 ft) to 1.2 m (3.94 ft).
  14. Remove the battery tray.

  15. Remove the nuts and set the battery tray bracket aside.
  16. Tighten the roll restrictor bolts.
    Torque: 52 lb-ft (70 N·m)
  17. Tighten the transmission mount nuts.
    Torque: 92 lb-ft (125 N·m)
  18. Install the battery tray bracket and nuts.
    Torque: 18 lb-ft (25 N·m)
  19. Install the shift cable and nut.
    Torque: 89 lb-in (10 N·m)
  20. Install the battery tray.

  21. Install the battery.
    Refer to: Battery (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).
  22. Reinstall the degas bottle.
  23. Tighten the engine mount bolts.
    Torque: 35 lb-ft (48 N·m)
  24. Check the system for normal operation.
