Repair

  1. If necessary, remove the steering wheel.
    Refer to: Steering Wheel (211-04 Steering Column, Removal and Installation).
  2. Position the loose leather aside.
  3. Sand the steering wheel structure to prepare it for bonding.
  4. Evenly apply the specified adhesive to the steering wheel bonding surface.
    Material: Motorcraft® Instant Gel Adhesive / TA-19-C (WSS-M2G401-B5)
  5. Reposition the loose leather.
  6. Smooth the leather and trim for a neat appearance.
  7. Apply pressure (for at least 30 seconds) until the leather bonds to the steering wheel.
  8. If removed, install the steering wheel.
