Adhesive tape

Removal

  1. Remove the driver air bag. Refer to: Driver Air Bag (501-20B Supplemental Restraint System, Removal and Installation).
  2. Position the road wheels in the straight-ahead position.
    1. Disconnect the steering wheel electrical connector.
    1. Remove the steering wheel bolt and the steering wheel.
      Torque: 30 lb-ft (40 N·m)

  4. NOTICE: Make sure the clockspring rotor does not rotate.

    Secure the clockspring rotor to the outer housing so that it does not rotate.
    Use general equipment: Adhesive tape

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
